Fox & Sons acquires Jolly Property Services in Salisbury
Further expansion to grow network
Property sales and lettings agency Fox & Sons has added a lettings portfolio in Salisbury to its network after completing the acquisition of Jolly Property Services’ residential lettings business.
Jolly Property Services (JPS) was established in 1984, originally to help serving personnel let out their homes whilst being posted abroad. Over the years, the business has grown both organically and through acquisition to be one of the area’s leading independent lettings agents covering Amesbury, Tilsbury, Shaftesbury, Warminster, Salisbury and the surrounding villages. With owner John Theophilus retiring, the business will be transferred into Fox & Son’s existing Salisbury office and all current members of staff – a team of seven – will be retained providing continuity for customers and managing the transfer of the business.
The purchase by Fox & Sons comes as part of a targeted approach to generating more lettings business in the Salisbury area and signals Fox & Sons continued commitment to further growth:
“We are pleased to have completed this acquisition which enhances our position in the local market, grants us access to further tenants and investors, and supports our strategy for growth in our lettings business,” says Stephen Nation, Lettings Managing Director at parent company Connells Group. “We are delighted to retain JPS’s highly experienced members of staff and we welcome them into the team.”
“We welcome the opportunity to join Fox & Sons and we are thrilled that all staff, many of whom have worked for JPS for over 10 years, will stay on as part of the move,” says Ian Woodhouse-Smith, Senior Lettings Branch Manager at JPS and now Fox & Sons Salisbury. “Customers can be confident that it’s ‘business as usual’. They will continue to be well looked after and receive the same high level of customer service they have come to expect, and staff will inevitably grow and develop professionally as part of a wider group.”
The acquisition forms part of a wider initiative by parent company Connells Group to expand and invest where the right opportunities exist. In light of this, Fox & Sons is keen to hear from local estate agency and lettings business’ to get in touch and discuss possibility for acquisition.
