Mark has more than 40 years’ experience in commercial and financial services gained through previous roles including CEO of St James’s Place plc, CEO of Virgin Direct and Director of Henderson Investors plc. He is a Non-Executive Director of Coutts & Co and Chair of Equiniti Financial Services Limited.
In addition to being Interim Chair of Connells Group, Mark is Deputy Chair of the Board, Senior Independent Director and a member of the Audit, Nominations and Remuneration Committees of the Skipton Building Society, having been appointed to the Board in 2016.
Richard is a Chartered Accountant who joined the Skipton Group in 1993 as Head of Finance of Homeloan Management and in 1996, following the acquisition by Skipton, he was appointed Finance Director of Connells. In 2002 he was appointed to the Skipton Board and served as Group Finance Director until 2014.
In 2014 Richard rejoined Connells Group as Group Finance & Commercial Director, and is now Connells Group Interim Chief Executive and Group Finance Director. He has a thorough knowledge of the Group from his many years of involvement.
David joined the company in 1988 starting his career as a negotiator and mortgage consultant in one of the Group’s William H Brown branches in East Anglia.
Having performed roles at every level, he became the Chief Executive of Sequence in 2006 and then took responsibility for the whole of Connells Group’s branch network as Group Estate Agency Chief Executive in 2013.
David has overall responsibility for all the Group’s estate agency, mortgage services and lettings operations across its 1,200 strong branch network. During his tenure, Connells Group has become the market leader in the UK and sells more properties than any other estate agent.
Adrian joined Connells Group in 2011 and, until recently, was Group Mortgage Services Director for our expansive nationwide branch network; comprising over 1,000 mortgage and protection consultants, and our wider mortgage distribution channels Mortgage Intelligence and Dynamo.
In his role of Lender Services Managing Director, and alongside retaining Mortgage Services, Adrian is responsible for the leadership of our key B2B business units including Surveying and Asset Management, recognising and developing our important lender relationships. Adrian is also Connells Group’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Steering Committee Chair, charged with driving forward the Group’s ongoing commitment to being a responsible business.
Adrian was previously Head of Lending at Kent Reliance. Prior to that he was Managing Director at Heritable Bank Mortgages and Director of Mortgage Distribution for Bradford & Bingley.
Stephen has over 30 years’ experience in residential lettings, starting his career as a letting agent in Kent before becoming an Area Manager in Surrey, then Regional Director and in 2002 appointed Managing Director of a national lettings chain.
Stephen joined Connells Group in 2010 to initially run lettings in Sequence and was appointed to oversee residential lettings across the Group in 2013. Since then, he has presided over rapid growth through cold starts and acquisitions, more than doubling the network of lettings branches and the number of tenancies being managed.
Roger joined Connells as a Sales Negotiator in 1983 having previously worked as a site manager for Charter Homes, a Birmingham-based residential developer. He rose quickly through the ranks to Area Manager responsible for Connells Residential offices across Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire.
In 1989, he became Land Director for Connells based in Northampton, where he progressed and developed the Connells Land operation and, in 2019, he was appointed to the position of Group Land & New Homes Managing Director responsible for the Land & New Homes operation across the whole Group
