Nik Madan appointed President of ARLA

New President for the year ahead

Connells Group Lettings Development Director, Nik Madan, has been appointed the new President of the Association of Residential Letting Agents (ARLA), effective as of Friday 17th June 2016.

Nik, who has almost 20 years’ experience in the lettings industry and primarily in the London market, joined Connells Group in 2014 to spearhead the Group’s cold start lettings expansion.  Nik also oversees the day to day running of the Barnard Marcus lettings division.

In this new role, Nik will continue to promote ARLA and its core mission to promote the highest standards in the lettings industry and represent its member agents. Responsibilities include speaking at ARLA regional meetings and local conferences, and chairing the ARLA Board.  Additionally, Nik will continue his role as a board director of the National Federation of Property Professionals (NFOPP).

Nik said:  “I am thrilled to take on this new role, and look forward to meeting members all over the country and hearing their views on what ARLA can do to help them”.

David Cox, Managing Director, ARLA said: “Welcome to Nik who has a great understanding of the sector. I look forward to working closely with him to ensure we continue to raise standards in the industry for both members and consumers.”
