Connells Group signs up to the ‘Good Recruitment Campaign’

The REC's aspirational code of conduct for employers

Connells Group, one of the UK’s largest and most successful property services groups, has signed up to the ‘Good Recruitment Campaign’ – an aspirational code of conduct for employers from the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC). One of over 100 major employers now taking part, and amongst other national and international companies such as Pepsico, Morrisons and Alliance Homes Group, the Group is proud to be the first property services group to sign up to the campaign.

The ‘Good Recruitment Campaign’ Charter states nine key principles for employers to practise during the recruitment process, including:  practising fair, legal and ethical recruitment procedures, treating all applicants equally, communicating regularly and thoroughly, ensuring recruitment teams work to recognised standards, addressing youth employment and regularly reviewing recruitment procedures.

“We are thrilled to sign up to the campaign and to be the first estate agency group to do so,” says Ian Dobrin, Connells Group Recruitment Director.  “The principles set out in the charter should be standard for any company and for any employment process, and we are proud to say that the Connells Group shares the same values for recruiting fairly.

“Our people are at the heart of everything we do, and that counts for those aspiring to work within the Group as well as those already with us.  Signing up to this campaign is a brilliant way to showcase our company’s core principals and demonstrates our high standards when it comes to attracting and retaining great people,” Ian concludes.

This announcement follows the Group’s recent pledge to take on 150 apprentices over the next year, and is part of the company’s wider recruitment drive, demonstrating its commitment to nurturing the talent of the future.
